Bet Exchange News - December 2003

Dear Bet Exchange News

I'd be grateful for some info please. I got your address from The Exchange Traders Handbook. Have studied the book carefully and free ready to start trading. However, have run into problems because the main exchange websites don't support Apple Mac based browsers.

I am using the most up-to-date Internet Explorer available on Mac. I have been in contact with Betfair and whilst they don't currently support this I am informed that they will do some time in the New Year. Betdaq say they know that some of their clients do in fact work from Macs and only have problems placing funds. For me it's vice versa. Sporting o ption s just switches me off before I can even get onto the site.

Any advice please? Are there any reliable sites which do support Macs? I would like to confer with these Mac users to find out how they do it. Is there a suitable forum or Newsgroup for exchange traders?

BTW - Congratulations and thanks due for the 'Handbook'.

Regards - Jim Garfath

Thanks for your email and your positive words Jim. I'm sorry to say that Apple Macs are beyond my experience so I'm unable to help you. Is there anyone out there who would be able to share some experiences with Jim about how they manage to get their Mac working on Betdaq , or indeed any exchange site? If so please email me, and I will forward your thoughts to Jim. On the subject of forums there are one or two dedicated betting exchange forums at www.punterslounge.com which could be worth a try.

If anyone else has any questions, or any thoughts they would like to share, please send me an email at info@betexchangenews.com
